Who is the CIPC?

The Coastal Invasive Plant Committee (CKIPC) was formed by a group of private and public land managers who were interested in promoting a collaborative approach to invasive plant management. The group became a non-profit society in December, 2005.

The following agencies and groups are working with the CIPC to achieve more effective management of invasive plants in the Coastal region:

  • Jeff Hallworth (B.C. Ministry of Forests and Range)
  • Katie Johnny (Cowichan Valley Regional District)
  • Maggie Henigman (B.C. Ministry of Environment)
  • Michael Betts (B.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Lands)
  • Miyo Stevens (Nanaimo-Cedar Farmer's Institute)
  • Sue Pauwels (B.C. Ministry of Transportation)
